Riddell Airfield is a privately owned and operated, well maintained airfield located in Victoria, Australia approximately 13NM north of Melbourne International Airport, just outside controlled airspace.
Our airfield is equipped with a 10 x 880 meter sealed runway, and three natural turf strips serviced with both sealed and natural turf taxi-ways and parking aprons.
We are easily accessible whether you are flying or surface traveling as we are located along the Melbourne – Bendigo railway line a short distance from either Clarkfield or Riddells Creek railway stations and just a quick 25 minute drive from Melbourne International Airport towards the Macedon Ranges.
We have aircraft hangar facilities and outside tie down areas with a range of budgets and personal requirements in mind.
We also have an Aircraft Maintenance facility based at our airfield, with a L.A.M.E normally rostered on duty during normal week days.
Riddell Airfield is home to light sport, vintage, warbird, antique, experimental, modern, amphibian, twin engine, aerobatic, rotary wing aircraft.
Private landing, access and short term parking fees do not apply.

Subject to operational requirements, pilots are to adopt appropriate power settings for take-off, circuits and landings to minimise noise levels.
A limit of 6 consecutive circuits for any aircraft within any three hour period. A limit of three aircraft within the circuit at any one time. No precautionary search or engine failure training permitted.

Hangar Sites;
We are currently in the process of carrying out a due diligence study on the viability of this exciting new development where individuals may construct their own private hangar, for their own private use and lease a hangar site from Riddell Airfield. Obviously these proposed hangar sites would have private access to the Airfield and the runways.
Whilst we have a long way to go, we are now accepting written expressions of interest via the email form located on the contact page of our web site.

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer AVGAS, piston engine aero oil and aircraft hangars at competitive rates starting from just $39.60 a week to our resident aircraft and visitors alike. Whilst positions are still available, first in, best dressed regarding desired position will be the order. We will also be offering a 10% reduction on hangarage if a lessor pays 12 months in advance.
Self service Avgas is available to Members of the Riddell Airfield Fuel Club. Club members have their own full access to our mobile airfield fuel tanker. There is no requirement to hand pump fuel from drums, or to taxi your aircraft to the fuel bowser.

A$1.96 per litre (incl. GST)
Avgas Fuel is available to visiting aircraft with prior notice and subject to available staff to carry out the task.
